When it comes to Haute Couture, Christian Lacroix never lets me down. I must admit, when Haute Couture season is around the corner, this is the collection i look forward to most. Lacroix showcased dozens of beautiful gowns, each with their own unique detail being made of chiffons, refined embroidery and beautiful laces. I loved loved loved the ombre styled stockings! Genius!

Front row ladies: Chanel

Diane Kruger, Claudia Schiffer, Blake Lively and Clemence Poesy all in Chanel, attended the Chanel Fashion show, during Paris Fashion Week (Haute Couture) Spring-Summer 2008 at the Grand Palais yesterday. Most of their outfits are quite plain, excluding Kruger, who jazzed up her outfit with a pair of bright yellow varnished Chanel pumps.

Karl Lagerfeld's Chanel Spring 2008 Couture Collection was as i suspected, classic tweed jackets, detailed brooches and stunningly beautiful beading. In particular, i quite liked the soft roses and ballerina flats as well as the feathered and fringed party dresses, it gave the collection a sense of youth.

Top 10 from Armani Privé Spring 2008 Couture Collection

Giorgio Armani's Spring 2008 Haute Couture collection left me speechless. His exploration with materials such as plastic, crystal, and metallics left me gob smacked. His gowns consisted of delicate draping and pleats which were complimented by the subtle colors of washed grays and pale yellows. A beautiful collection.

Straight off the runway: Julianne Moore

Actress, Julianne Moore attended the 150th Anniversary dinner of Boucheron in Paris yesterday. She wore a simple gray Yves Saint Laurent dress from the spring 2008 collection. I'm still yet undecided with Moore's look, a brighter color would have made the overall look more interesting.

The Christian Dior Spring 2008 Couture Collection brought out the best of designer John Galliano. The collection was a mix of extreme trapeze silhouettes and hand painted gowns. Obviously a designer with such a high profile as John Galliano comes with a string of high profile celebrities.

Straight off the runway: Armani Prive Couture Edition

The Giorgio Armani Prive Spring/Summer 2008 Haute Couture Collection Show was previewed yesterday in Paris and with it a string of celebrities decked out in Armani Prive couture. Ms. Dita Von Teese in Armani Privé fall 2007 Couture. She looks beautiful in this low cut brocade jacket.

Ellen Pompeo donned a more classic look in a sleek off the shoulder black dress also from the Armani Privé fall 2007 Couture. Again, she should have kept the belt.

The one thing that i absolutely love about John Galliano is that he never fails to deliver, and in this instance he delivered fabulously! The Christian Dior Spring 2008 Couture Collection was filled with amazing pieces of stunningly beautiful gowns with their intricate embroideries and delicate hand-paintings. A trend that has continued to be obvious in many collections are the bright colors and neons. I really can't get over the fourth yellow dress, its jaw dropping.
